At the time of inception of Tata Main Hospital, Dermatology started as a small section functioning under the Department of Medicine. Gradually its popularity increased and it became a flourishing unit. Attendance in the OPD increased to about 70,000 patients every year. It was upgraded to the level of a Department in the year 2010. In the year 2013 Cosmetic dermatology clinic was also started. Total number of Cosmetology procedures done in last 5 years from 2018 – 2022 is 1,150. Indoor facilities for dermatology patients also exist. Department of Pathology and Microbiology provide assistance in diagnosis of skin diseases. At present we have a strength of two specialist doctors in the department.
